Turn a pumpkin into anything from your favorite banned book!
Join us at Shaw Library for a literary pumpkin decorating party and contest, when we will celebrate Banned Books Week and Spooky Season in one fabulous event!
Turn a pumpkin into something from your favorite banned book - a quote, symbol, character, or anything else you can think of. For a list of frequently challenged books, click here. Winners will receive bragging rights and a mention on our website.
Decorations only, no carving. Paint and crafting supplies will be provided. A limited amount of pumpkins will be available on a first come, first served basis. You are welcome to bring your own pumpkin.
