About the Author
Eugene Robinson is a Pulitzer Prize–winning American journalist, former columnist, and associate editor of The Washington Post, author, and political analyst. His prior positions included foreign editor, London correspondent, and South American correspondent. Born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, he graduated from the University of Michigan and worked at the San Francisco Chronicle before joining The Washington Post.
About the Moderator
Eugene Scott is an award‑winning political journalist with more than 20 years of experience covering national and global politics. He is a visiting fellow at the Johns Hopkins University SNF Agora Institute and an opinion writer for the Boston Globe. Scott also moderates national events for Axios and previously reported for The Washington Post, Axios, and CNN Politics. A contributor to the bestselling Four Hundred Souls, he has written widely on identity politics and frequently appears as a political analyst on major broadcast networks. He has completed fellowships at Georgetown and Harvard.
