Swap Palooza

Three swaps, all happening at the same time!

Join us at MLK Library to swap your gently used books, clothing, and plants for something new-to-you. Bring what you no longer need and discover your next favorite treasure!

What is a swap?

Swaps offer a fun, sustainable, and budget-friendly way to refresh your collection while helping reduce waste and giving quality items a second life.

Swap Details:

• Drop-off begins at 12:30 pm. (A time when you can drop off your items for sorting and organizing so that you can swap hassle-free)
• Attendees who wish to participate can bring up to 10 pieces of books, clothing, and plants per swap. (You must bring in items in order to leave with items).
• Participants will receive tickets equal to the number of items brought that can be  exchanged for other swapped items once browsing opens at 1:30 pm. 

Book swap:

• Fiction and nonfiction books for adults, teens, and children will be accepted.
• Please provide books that are in a clean and gently used condition only; damaged books will not be accepted.

Clothing Swap:

• Only Adult's clothing is accepted.
• Please be mindful to only bring in items that are in gently-used, new, clean wearable condition. Stained, dirty, damaged, faulty clothing or clothing with unpleasant odors, will NOT be accepted.
• Unacceptable items are as follows: event t-shirts (rec sports leagues, marathons, reunions, etc.) undergarments, lingerie, socks, hangers, swimsuits, children’s clothing, shoes, or accessories. 

Plant Swap:

• Please make sure all plants are pest-free and in clean containers.
• Plants and cuttings can be in water or soil, as long as they're transportable.
• Clean, empty plant containers and plant-care items are also welcome.

FEEL FREE TO ATTEND ALL!

Following the swap palooza, any remaining items will be donated.

*Please Note: Items are subjected to disposal if items do not align with the guidelines of this event.

Registration is not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged! By registering for this event you will be provided with a friendly email reminder closer to the date.
