An afternoon of beautiful Celtic music.
This delightful program includes poems, stories and lyrics to selected songs for audience participation. Some of the songs were made popular in America by Irish immigrants and can highlight the musical contributions of the Scottish and Irish.
Dorothy Mora is active as a church musician and has organized numerous benefit concerts for local charities. She holds a master’s degree in flute performance from Peabody Conservatory of Music and served as music director of Cleveland Park United Church of Christ for over 20 years.
Pat Henry is the music director at Georgetown Lutheran Church. She has a master’s degree in organ performance from the University of Texas and took up the Celtic harp after a trip to Ireland. In fact, she and her husband helped to make her harp. Pat enjoys having more time to share music now that she is retired from a career in journalism
