Trips of a Lifetime Series
Join Beth Reaves, President of the Washington School For Girls, and 8th Grade Students for a talk about their "first time trip overseas" trip to England.
The students traveled to London and Felixtowe. The trip allowed the student to explore the traditional highlights of London as well as learning more about the history of African and Caribbean people of Great Britain.
Students partnered with students from the St. Claudine's School in London and traveled to Felixtowe, a port town north of London.
The trip provided an opportunity to gain independence, confidence, and a broader understanding of how different countries and cultures are inter-connected.
Come on out and hear the group share highlights, insights, and photos from the trip abroad.
This talk is part of the library's ongoing "Trips of a Lifetime" series.
