Eliminate a few unwanted pieces of accessories. Then come, dig, and leave with a few new-to-you treasures!

Join us at MLK Library for an Accessory swap where you can exchange your pre-loved accessories for new-to-you treasures. Whether you're looking to declutter or find some unique pieces, this event is perfect for all accessory enthusiasts. 

What’s a Accessory Swap?
An Accessory Swap is where participants gather together to exchange pre-loved accessories.  Each person brings in their gently worn or new accessories that they no longer want, and then everyone gathers to exchange accessories.

Accessories Swap Details:

1. Drop-off begins at 12:30 pm. (A time when you can drop off your items for sorting and organizing so that you can swap hassle-free)
2. Swapping takes place from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
3. Attendees who wish to participate can contribute  up to 15 pieces of accessories. (You must bring in items in order to leave with items.)
4. Participants will receive tickets equal to the number of items brought that can be  exchanged for other swapped items once browsing opens at 1:30pm. 
5. Please be mindful to only contribute items that are in gently-used, or new, clean wearable condition. Stained, dirty, rusty, damaged, faulty accessories  or accessories with unpleasant odors, will NOT be accepted.
6. Please bring in your prescription and magnifying glasses for charitable donation.
7. Acceptable Items are as follows: Shoes, Belts , Scarves ,Gloves ,Handbags/Purses, Sunglasses/Non prescription Glasses, Jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, anklets), Brooches/Buttons/pins/Tie clips/ties/bow ties, cellphones/tablet cases
8. Unacceptable items are as follows: undergarments, lingerie, socks, sleepwear, hangers, swimsuits, swim accessories, children’s/adult clothing,  hats, hair accessories, and toe/nose rings. 
9. Following the accessory swap, any remaining items will be donated.

*Prescription and magnifying glasses are accepted and will be donated.  


*Please Note: Items are subjected to disposal if items do not align with the guidelines of this event. (Before items are discarded owners will have the option to retrieve their items.)

While registration is optional, it is strongly encouraged. Registering for this event will provide you with a friendly email reminder closer to the date.
