Celebrating diverse books, languages, and cultures
Come to the Mt Pleasant Library for a big day of FUN! We have activities for all ages and tastes.
You can come to one or all of the programs; everything is FREE!

Puppet workshop led by Cecilia Cackley, a puppeteer and teaching artist, followed by a Lambe Lambe puppet show called: Pura Plants Stories. About the show: Pura Plants Stories is a lambe-lambe show inspired by the life and work of Puerto Rican librarian Pura Belpré. One of the first Afro-Latina librarians at the New York Public Library, she advocated for bilingual storytimes and shared traditional Puerto Rican stories with a wider audience through books, storytelling, and puppetry. We will have music and games going on all day PLUS free copies of Menudo Sunday for participants to take home. (while supplies last) and other titles in Spanish for the older folks.
