ANC1D and the Mount Pleasant Village have teamed up to bring your Ward 1 City Council Candidates to the Mount Pleasant Library!
The Ward 1 City Council Candidate Forum is on Tuesday, March 3 from 7-9:00 PM and will be moderated by local political analyst, Tom Sherwood.
In-person registration for the candidate forum is at capacity. If you’d like to attend, you can join via Zoom.
Real time Spanish-language interpretation will be available on Zoom.
Know before you go:
- Registration is closed - if you have not already registered, please join via Zoom
- Due to overwhelming interest in this event, this event will be held on the second floor of the library.
- Doors to the forum will open at 6:30 PM.
- When you arrive, please notify a Mount Pleasant Village volunteer if you need assistance with accessible seating or Spanish-language interpretation.
- ANC1D and Mount Pleasant Village will make opening remarks beginning at 6:50.
- Forum will start promptly at 7:00 PM and end promptly at 9:00 PM.
- Signs will not be permitted as they may obstruct views for audience members.
- Buttons or pins expressing political views will be permitted.
- Candidates will not be permitted to collect signatures, solicit donations, or take any other political activities within the event.
- Audience members will not be permitted to yell or heckle candidates as they respond to moderator questions.
- Candidate responses will be tightly timed to give audience-members the most possible information on each candidate's views.
The forum will be live streamed on Zoom and recorded in real-time.
