Join NOVA Community College Professor of Geology Dr. Victor Zabielski at West End Library for a lecture about the unique threats five American cities face and how they can adapt to meet the challenge.
In this lecture, NOVA Community College Professor of Geology Dr. Victor Zabielski will discuss the unique ways in which extreme environmental events will (or will not) affect US cities, Miami, New Orleans, Seattle, Phoenix, and Washington DC. In addition to discussing the potential severity of the threats these cities may face, the lecture will examine ways in which these cities can rise to the challenges their circumstances present.
