This program is part of “The Next Chapter: Perspectives on AI and Writing,” hosted by the Georgetown Neighborhood Library.
Professor Patience Williams, a faculty member in English at Howard University, explores how artificial intelligence communicates and conceals information in ways that shape our understanding of the world. Her talk examines how AI systems frame narratives, what users can and cannot trust in machine‑generated text, and how these technologies influence interpretation, agency, and decision‑making. She also considers the implications for writers and readers as AI becomes more integrated into everyday life.
This program is part of “The Next Chapter: Perspectives on AI and Writing,” hosted by the Georgetown Neighborhood Library and sponsored by the Georgetown Library Friends.
