Casey Trees is one of the country's most respected nonprofit tree organizations. They are usually out in the field planting trees, mulching trees, or leading stewardship and education events. Tap into their knowledge and hear about how the District's tree canopy is being transformed by their stewardship and that of residents like you. Find out how you can get a free tree or create a home rain garden. Learn about tree volunteer opportunities locally and throughout the city. Ask a gnarly question about how to take care of the trees on your property!
Two tree species books will be given away in a drawing as part of this event.
This is the second event in a three-part series on trees and their care hosted by Cleveland Park Library in collaboration with Capital Nature. The third event is an author talk with Mike Tidwell on June 30.
Registration is optional.
If you would like to request an accommodation, please contact dcplaccess@dc.gov at least one week prior to the program.
