Based upon Colson Whitehead's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, Nickel Boys is the story of Elwood and Turner, two Black teenagers, who form a bond at Nickel Academy, a harsh Florida reform school. After an upsetting incident, hopeful college student Elwood faces brutal challenges, but guided by Turner, he strives to survive while keeping his optimism alive.
Nominated for 2 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
