Join Loyalty Bookstores and the Library for a live, in-person event with Laura Warrell and for the release of her new book Sweet, Soft, Plenty Rhythm!
In conversation with Glory Edim of Well-Read Black Girl, Warrell will discuss this exciting new novel with the audience.
Books will be available for purchase from Loyalty staff before and after Warrell's discussion.
About the author: Laura Warrell is a contributor to the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and the Tin House Summer Workshop, and is a graduate of the creative writing program at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her work has appeared in HuffPost, The Rumpus, and the Los Angeles Review of Books, among other publications. She has taught creative writing and literature at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and through the Emerging Voices Fellowship at PEN America in Los Angeles, where she lives.
About Glory Edim: Glory Edim is the founder of Well-Read Black Girl, a book club and digital platform that celebrates Black literature and sisterhood. The author and editor of Well-Read Black Girl, Edim won the 2017 Innovator’s Award from the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes.
