The Nature of Change, a new book reading by author Rene Marsh, followed by mindfulness activities for children with Mariana Cruz.
Rene Marsh, an Emmy-nominated CNN correspondent, will read her new children's book, The Nature of Change. Rene’s debut, The Miracle Workers: Boy vs. Beast, was written while her infant son Blake was undergoing cancer treatment, with all proceeds benefiting pediatric brain cancer research. Her second book, The Nature of Change, continues her commitment to creating meaningful stories for young readers. Outside of journalism and writing, Rene dedicates her time to raising awareness and supporting philanthropic causes focused on pediatric cancer. The Nature of Change is a heartfelt story about determination, resilience, hope, and the quiet wisdom found in nature.
Mariana Cruz, Ed.D (Cand), educator and mindfulness teacher trained by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield (MMTCP) program, will lead mindfulness activities for children following the book reading by Rene Marsh. This is a free program for families with children ages 4-9yrs.
