Come enjoy our community-created celebration of Black poetry!
Georgetown Neighborhood Library is proud to present our community celebration of Black poetry: "I Dream a World."
See the celebration yourself here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6nhhza20qk&list=PLu-TWTa5uhuohMe_UwpVxDdTc7kQgh2fl
We asked members of the community of all backgrounds, from ages 8-108, to submit videos of themselves reading a favorite poem by a Black author. The response inspired everyone on staff!
We loved discovering and rediscovering favorite poems through the submissions from the public. We hope you enjoy the same and that you see some familiar faces!
