Celebrate a special year-long installation of CAH's Art Bank at MLK Library, featuring artists from all eight DC Wards, as well as MD and VA
Note: this event takes place throughout the conference center on the fourth floor of the MLK Library.
Join the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) and DC Public Library (DCPL) for a celebration of newly acquired works into CAH's Art Bank Collection, the DC government's permanent collection of artwork by Metropolitan artists.
This special exhibition is part of CAH and DCPL’s growing partnership to bring art to libraries across the District. Each year, the agencies will present a rotating selection of newly acquired artworks from the Art Bank Collection in the 4th floor conference center—an active community space that welcomes thousands of visitors annually. This inaugural installation highlights artists from all eight DC wards, as well as Maryland and Virginia. After its yearlong display, the artwork will continue into CAH’s Art Bank loan program, where pieces may be placed throughout DC government agencies.
We invite you to join us for a public reception and walkthrough to celebrate the artists and explore the installation.
Light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating this collaborative exhibition.
Co‑hosted by DC Public Library and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
