How does it achieve its impact—and how do the finest essays accomplish what they do?
Professor Soltan will explore essays by Robert Louis Stevenson, Joan Didion, Susan Sontag, George Orwell, James Baldwin, and others in a series of lectures followed by an engaging discussion on the art and craft of the essay.
