A new book of haiku inspired by the author's trip to Japan
In 2024, local writer and musician Vera Kochanowsky took her first trip to Japan. It was a meaningful trip for her as she explored the language, culture, and people. After her return home, Ms. Kochanowsky studied classic Japanese literature with a concentration on haiku. She began composing her own haiku, arranging her work by season, a traditional arrangement. These works appear in her new book 101 Haiku: A Journey Through The Seasons (linked to catalog) released in Fall 2025. A book sale and signing will follow the author talk.
This author talk is in the Meeting Room on the lower level of the library.
