Laterras R. Whitfield, 3x Emmy-nominated producer and host of the award-winning, viral Dear Future Wifey Podcast, explores a fresh perspective on relationships in a guided conversation about his debut book, Student of Love. Laterras built an audience of millions by adopting the unique posture of a student of love.
In this guided conversation, part of the Relationships Matter Series, Whitfield offers a framework for anyone navigating love—whether single, dating, engaged, married, or healing from loss. Drawing from his own journey as a new husband and years of conversation on his podcast, the discussion examines the common mistakes we all make and shows how to use those experiences to become more intentional. Moderated by WUSA9 news anchor Allison Seymour, the session makes the case that heartbreak can be the starting point for understanding what a relationship truly requires.
