Join us at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library on Saturday, April 20th at 2:00 pm as we commemorate the life and work of Nobel-winning poet Louise Glück. In honor of Glück's recent passing and in celebration of National Poetry Month and her birthday, we are hosting a special event featuring renowned poet and scholar Prof. David Gewanter of Georgetown University. Prof. Gewanter will be speaking on "The self and the world: Celebrating the poetry of Louise Glück." Additionally, literary blogger Isabel Hamert will be discussing Glück's world. It is an opportunity for poetry lovers and admirers of Glück's work to come together to reflect on her powerful and poignant poems.
