Celebrate Poetry Month!
Join in the retelling of Kiyoshi’s Walk by Mark Karlins in celebration of National Poetry Month and DC Public Library's annual Haiku Contest.
Let's read and act out the story of Kiyoshi and his grandfather as they walk through the city with a curiosity about poems and from where they come.
A haiku writing project will follow.
This event is intended for children 5-8 and their engaged adults.
