Reunion Choir Work-in-Progress Clips & Conversation
The Reunion Choir documentary, slated for completion in December 2026, highlights the story of celebrated educator Joyce Garrett and the award-winning Eastern High School Choir. This conversational community event will mix clips from the work in progress with audience feedback and discussion about the enduring impact of music education in DC schools. Garrett (who directed Eastern's choir from 1971 - 1999 and then continued to work with the choir until 2006) will be present along with the film's director, Malkia Lydia.
