Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a few rounds of Lotería at Northwest One Library!
Let's celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) with Lotería at Northwest One Library! Lotería, similar to Bingo, which is a game that originated in Italy in the 15th century and was brought to Mexico in 1769. Unlike bingo, the lotería card has pictures with a short description and the gaming chips are beans! It is a game that is played throughout Latin America. Lotería is an easy-to-learn game of chance that encourages participation from members of all ages.
