Gentle Yoga will utilize mat and chair poses throughout the class. All poses can be modified with instructor's guidance.
Students will experience a gradual progression of yoga poses to strengthen and stretch the body and breathing practices to calm the mind. Please bring your own yoga mat. A towel is recommended as padding for knees. Participate in the exercise programs at your own risk and remember to consult with your doctor before starting a new fitness program.
Around Town DC is funded by the DC Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) for older adults (60+) who live in DC, and is run by Iona Senior Services. To register, please log-in or create an account on the Around Town website then register for any in-person or virtual fitness, arts, or other programs of interest.
