Prompts, workshopping, readings, all available freely to the fictions writers of the District of Columbia.
Calling all DC fiction writers: DCLC (DC Literary City) is a writers group that welcome all fiction writers every other week to work on their craft. We will start with a short reading and free write, then have time to workshop our fiction. This workshop is free to all, and one of our aims is to bring the same high level writing workshop that one may find at a university, but without cost to the writer. The workshop is led by George Koors, the Adult Services Librarian at Francis Gregory Library. Mr. Koors is a novelist, and has taught writing at the college level for many years so he brings that high level of workshopping, editing, and writing to this group. This workshop welcomes all who wish to craft their fiction in a collaborative setting. All fiction writers are encouraged to attend, registration is required.
