Woodridge Library invites adolescent girls (ages 10-14) and those who identify as such, to participate in an upcoming library program called The Braid Society
The Braid Society is an empowering circle where participants get to read and discuss a book collectively, starting with "The Braid Girls" by Sherri Winston. We will also reference American Girl's "Care and the Keeping of You" to anchor discussions on hygiene and a variety of pertinent topics i.e. "respect" "joy" and "friendship". Crafts, music, ice breakers and a hearty snack also included.
