Join the D.C. Open Government Coalition (DC OGC) for Whose Information Is It Anyway- an engaging, plain-language presentation on public records and transparency in the District.
Who really “owns” public information—and how do you actually get it?
In honor of Sunshine Week (March 15–21, 2026), join the D.C. Open Government Coalition (DC OGC) at the Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial Library on Thursday, March 19, at 5:30pm, for Whose Information Is It Anyway- an engaging, plain-language presentation on public records and transparency in the District. The event will occur in the New Books area located on the first floor. Reservations are recommended but not required.
Whose Information Is It Anyway will feature DC luminaries, politicians, journalists, and grassroots organizations talking about the rapidly changing political landscape and the fight for local government transparency. There will also be games, trivia and audience participation!
DC OGC is an all-volunteer “voice for open government” in D.C. They advocate for D.C. government transparency, educate, and empower access to information.
