Beat the Sunday Scaries with AIRPLANE MODE
AIRPLANE MODE is a series of offline gatherings that create space for creativity, connection, and learning in third spaces. The September event takes place Sunday, Sept. 21 from 1–4 p.m. on the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library rooftop. Bring the book you’re reading or select from titles curated by librarians, settle in for an hour of silent reading, and join creative workshops such as watercoloring and letter-writing. Designed with people in their 20s in mind, the afternoon closes with a conversation led by the Aspen Institute’s Center for Rising Generations on the future of higher education, exploring the impact of rising tuition and AI on how the next generation prepares for work and purpose.
