Please join us for a special screening of The Last Battlefront followed by a discussion with filmmaker Anna Reid Jhirad and special guests.
The Last Battlefront: Quest for the Vote in Washington, D.C. is a one-hour non-partisan documentary that examines four turning points in the history of Washington, D.C. This film seeks to illuminate and understand the struggles of the District’s residents to restore their basic rights of self-government that are guaranteed to Americans across the fifty states. Director Anna Reid Jhirad and special guests will host a discussion and Q&A immediately following the film.
Presented in partnership with The League of Women Voters of D.C., filmmaker Anna Reid Jhirad (founder of Marigold Productions), and Free DC, a nonpartisan, grassroots movement led by the people of the District of Columbia to win dignity for our communities and exert our right to self-determination.
