Celebrate Valentine's Day with book love and rhinestones!
This Valentine's Day, Shaw Library invites you to celebrate your love of books and libraries at our bedazzling party. We all have that one book that makes our hearts sparkle. Or maybe it's too many books to narrow it down to one! Whatever the case, we can't think of a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to chat about our favorite books and express ourselves through things that glitter. Gemstones, rhinestones, glue and hot fix wands will be provided. Plain sweaters in dire need of sparkle will be available in a range of adult and child sizes, while supplies last (first come, first served). You are also welcome to bring your own item to bedazzle. Perhaps you have a t-shirt, phone case, or pair of jeans that need some glitz... the possibilities are endless. We'll end the event by smashing open a heart-shaped piñata and eating sweets, of course. Bedazzling from 4-5pm, and piñata smashing at 5:00pm.
All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. We can't wait to share our book love with you!
