Ben Merrion is an Adult Librarian at DCPL who has testified many times before the DC Council both representing the library and as a board member of two different organizations. On his off time, he has led successful efforts in getting folks to testify back in 2010 and 2011 to fight adult literacy cuts. He also led a successful effort as a board member of Collective Action for Safe Spaces to get the DC Metro to do something about the sexual harassment taking place on trains and buses in 2012 that resulted in a PSA campaign against sexual harassment on the DC Metro system. That also involved helping folks testify before the DC Council.
