For the third year in a row, the DC Public Library is offering a chance to curate an exhibition to be displayed in the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. This opportunity is for exhibitions scheduled in Summer 2025 and beyond. The next deadline for applications will be Friday, November 1, 2024, 11:59 p.m. We invite proposals for group exhibitions with multiple artists as well as themed exhibitions exploring a topic in local history and culture. This season, we are giving special consideration to exhibition proposals that reflect in some fashion on America's 250th Anniversary, to be presented in DC Public Library exhibit spaces between January and December, 2026. We also encourage prospective applicants to visit the MLK library during public hours to get a better understanding of our spaces, or sign up for a tour.
At this infosession, members of the Exhibits team will walk through our application process, answer questions, and sharing information about the special theme for 2026. Register here to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
