Join your neighborhood library team in a DCPL system-wide chess showdown for the chance to be crowned DCPL chess champion!
Join us on National Chess Day as we welcome you to the second annual DCPL Battle of the Branches Tournament! Players will compete in a three-round contest while representing their favorite library branch. The winners will be crowned DCPL Chess Champions! Will the reigning champs at Parklands Turner retain their title?
This is a free event. Must register in order to compete. All players must know how to play chess in order to compete. Tournament games are unrated. Match-ups will be based on skill level and age. Chess pieces and boards provided. Low vision chess sets are available for players upon request.
