Presentation on legal issues related to family law. Learn from Legal Aid attorneys and advocates about your legal rights.
This session will guide you through filing Civil Protection Orders and navigating your rights in situations involving domestic violence. Domestic violence is a pattern of coercive, controlling behavior that can include physical abuse, emotional or psychological abuse, sexual abuse or financial abuse( using money and financial tools to exert control).Join this workshop led by experienced Legal Aid DC attorneys and advocates to learn about your legal rights, how to maneuver through the legal system, and how to advocate effectively for yourself.
This session is hosted by Legal Aid DC, which provides free civil legal services in the District.
