Cleveland Park Historical Society presents a panel of experts to answer questions about preserving the windows in your house.
Much pride and joy comes with owning a home in a historic district—as do the challenges. The older the house, the more likely that its windows will be showing their age, and you may be wondering what your options are and how to proceed. Which is why the Cleveland Park Historical Society and the DC Preservation League invite you to attend the panel discussion, Seeing Clearly: Maintaining, Repairing, and Replacing Historic Windows in Cleveland Park. An expert group of architects, architectural historians, and preservationists will cover such topics as repairing vs. replacing windows, historic compatibility considerations, options for materials and energy efficiency levels, permit application requirements, and working with a contractor. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with the panelists.
