On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the DC Punk Archive, this event features a screening of the documentary “Punk the Capital” and the short film “Scream Meets The Hangmen."
The Hangmen took DC’s budding rock n’roll scene by storm in the 1960s. Bob Berberich of The Hangmen will be present for a Q&A. Berberich will discuss the bridge from DC’s legendary 1960s garage band days to 1980s punk and also his experiences growing up in 1950s Mount Pleasant. Punk the Capital co-director James June Schneider will moderate the discussion with Berberich.
The team of Punk the Capital worked closely to found the DC Punk Archive 10 years ago so we are especially excited about to screen the film in celebration of the 10th anniversary!
