Tuesday Talks is a monthly speaker series featuring fascinating people from the Cleveland and Woodley Park neighborhoods.
Join us as the fall season of Tuesday Talks begins for a conversation with Suprabha Beckjord who has been a beloved presence in the Connecticut Avenue corridor since 1983. Her store, Transcendence-Perfection-Bliss of the Beyond, closed in mid-July 2024. It was named by her teacher, Sri Chinmoy.
Suprabha began running in the mid-1980s and became one of the most prolific multi-day ultra-distance runners on the planet. Among other achievements, she ran the world’s longest foot race, the 3100-mile Self-Transcendence Race, not just once, but for 13 consecutive years.
Suprabha will be in conversation with Linda Ayres, Chair of the Tuesday Talks speaker series.
