Join us in learning Japanese calligraphy as we celebrate Asian American And Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the Embassy of Japan.
The JICC staff will be presenting an introductory lesson on the Japanese art of calligraphy using both video and and hands on training. Learn the beauty and technique of this traditional Japanese art, as well as how to write your own name in Japanese to take home with you!
This activity is best suited for teens (13+) and adults. There is a maximum capacity of 20 participants. First come, first serve.
The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC), part of the Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C., offers a variety of free programing including film screenings, lectures, educational programs, and cultural exhibits. Located on 1150 18th Street NW, the JICC is open on weekdays 9AM to 5PM.
