Library staff engage children in constructive, active and dramatic play using a variety of materials and supplies
Inspired by Antoinette Portis' picture book, Not a Box, the Southeast Library weekly play party offers children opportunities to independently and collaboratively explore, experiment, and imagine. For more information about the benefits of play, check out The Importance of Play in Promoting Healthy Child Development, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
While this program is targeted towards children ages 4-8, younger and older siblings and friends are always welcome!
