Children 6+ and their caregivers will learn about animal diets to kick off March of the Dinosaurs week!
Calling all scientists!
An animal's waste can tell scientists a lot about what an animal eats. Join us in the Youth Program Room on Saturday, March 21st from 3:00 to 3:30 pm and 3:30 to 4:00pm to learn about how scientists study coprolites—or fossilized dinosaur poop—to determine a dinosaur's diet. Then, get some hands-on experience of your own and dissect your own owl pellet to see for yourself what an owl's diet looks like!
Safety goggles and materials will be provided while supplies last. For ages 6 and up.
Tickets are first come, first served starting at 2:00pm. 15 tickets (1 per child) are available for each round of programming. Tickets may be obtained at the children's desk.
