Artist Kelsey Wailes will demonstrate how to sculpt polymer clay and explain the process of baking and painting her finished sculptures.
Artist Kelsey Wailes' sculptures and paintings have been featured in io9, Laughing Squid, BBC America, and more. Known for her playful, colorful style, she has sculpted everything from adorable animals to "flowerpot monsters". During this Maker Talk, Wailes will demonstrate the basics of polymer clay sculpting. She will cover different ways to shape the clay, either with hands or tools, and explain the process of baking and painting her finished sculptures.
