Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 1962 political thriller
On August 6th, we'll be screening "The Manchurian Candidate" (dir. John Frankenheimer, 2 hr 6m). During the Korean War, POW Raymond Shaw is brainwashed as an unwitting assassin for an international Communist conspiracy (IMDB). The film is available via Kanopy and on DVD.
Then, on August 13th, we'll have a live podcast recording from The Rewind Project, a group of film enthusiasts who will discuss "The Manchurian Candidate" with a dose of irreverent humor. Be prepared for games, Q&A, and more!
