Muath Edriss and Band
Experience an educational concert exploring the history and cultural traditions of Arab Americans. Vocalist and composer Muath Edriss leads a dynamic musical program that blends storytelling, heritage, and artistry.
About Muath Edriss
Muath Edriss is an award‑winning vocalist, composer, and lecturer. He received the Best Voice award in 2000 and is recognized as the first artist to compose, translate, and perform the U.S. National Anthem in Arabic. In 2023, he became the first Arab American to perform in Arabic on the oud at the White House. He has served as a visiting lecturer at Indiana University and Bloomsburg College and is an Ambassador for the Arab America Foundation.

Carrie Maslen is a children’s author whose work celebrates family, food, and cultural connection. Her book Baking with Jiddo invites young readers into a warm intergenerational story centered on tradition, memory, and the joy of cooking together.
Join her for an engaging storytime and craft activity designed especially for children and families as part of the day’s festivities.
