AI is everywhere - sometimes exciting, frightening, or inspiring, and usually confusing. With so much hype and uncertainty, it can be hard to understand what AI actually means for our daily lives.
DCPL is partnering with Cool/Scary AI to put on a community‑driven discussion series exploring how AI is impacting everyday life at the local level. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where neighbors can learn from one another, share questions and concerns, and make sense of a technology that many of us are still figuring out.
The event will include:
Who Should Attend
Anyone curious about AI. The conversation is designed for adults but is also appropriate for teens.
Present your “take”
We’re looking for community members who can offer a short, grounded perspective on how AI is showing up in their corner of DC. You don’t need to be a tech expert — we’re especially interested in everyday experiences from educators, healthcare workers, artists, local business owners, organizers, public servants, and anyone with a unique lens on neighborhood life.
If you’d like to give a brief 3–5 minute “take,” fill out this form and tell us:
We’d love to include your voice in the conversation!
