C.R. Gibbs, a DC Humanities Council scholar, author and historian.
C.R. Gibbs, a DC Humanities Council scholar, author, historian, and acclaimed national/international lecturer, will present a dynamic lecture series exploring the rich history of African Americans. Mr. Gibbs is the author or co-author of six books and is widely recognized for his engaging presentations on historical topics.
Join us for Before we were Enslaved, five powerful lectures throughout February at DC Public Library locations, including:
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library
Dorothy I. Height/Benning Library
Georgetown Library
Bellevue Library
Lectures will take place every Wednesday in February from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Please check each library’s website for specific dates and times.
