AI Basics: Ethical AI Content Creation

This class covers academic integrity, professional accountability, legal challenges, and personal guidelines for responsible AI use, helping you understand when and how to use AI ethically.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing how we learn, work, and create—but it also raises important ethical questions. This class explores academic, professional, and personal concerns about AI use, helping you understand when AI is a helpful assistant and when it may cross into unethical territory.

You will learn to:

• Recognize how AI impacts academic integrity and what counts as your own work.
• Understand professional accountability when AI-generated content is inaccurate, biased, or copyrighted.
• Consider personal ethics around skill development, integrity, and responsible AI use.
• Identify potential legal challenges related to AI-generated text, images, and designs
• Practice clear and effective AI disclosure to build trust and credibility in your work.
• Develop your own personal AI guidelines for when, how, and why you choose to use AI tools.
