Turn a pumpkin into anything from your favorite book for a chance to win a prize!
Join us at Shaw Library for a literary pumpkin decorating party and contest!
Turn a pumpkin into something from your favorite literary work - a quote, symbol, character, or anything else you can think of. Decorations only, no carving. Paint and crafting supplies will be provided.
Limited pumpkins will be available. You must register for this event in order to secure a pumpkin. After registration closes, you are welcome to join us with your own pumpkin. You may take your pumpkins home after the event. Winners will be announced the following week.
The following prizes will be awarded to the winners in these age categories:
Children (8 and under): Slime making kit
Tweens (9-12): Roblox gift card
Teens (13-19): Amazon gift card
Adult (20+): Gift card to local restaurant Supra
Runner ups receive a Chick-fil-A gift card and DC Public Library swag bags.
