For National Poetry Month we'll be discussing the If They Come for Us by Fatimah Asghar. In this debut volume of poetry Asghar captures the experience of being a young Pakistani Muslim woman in America, delving into race and sexuality, violence, and orphanhood.
All genres and readers are welcome. Reading the club selection is not a requirement to attend (just be forewarned that there will be spoilers). Titles will be decided by group members and a limited number of copies will be set aside at the Mt. Pleasant Library. Fill out this form to be added to the book club mailing list.
