Wil Haygood presents his book, Colorization: One Hundred Years of Black Films in a White World
Wil Haygood, author and journalist, will discuss his most recent book, Colorization: One Hundred Years of Black Films in a White World. He will discuss seminal Black-themed movies and the protest and political activities that were happening at the time of the filming of the movies. Haygood will show relevant film clips during the talk.
Wil Haygood has written many books and articles, including The Butler: A Witness to History, the true story of a White House butler who served many presidents and which was made into a movie, and In Black and White: the Life and Times of Sammy Davis, Jr. among others.
