Join library volunteers for a free button making activity hands-on activity inspired by Black feminist manifestos, Wednesdays in the MLK Library Great Hall (West).
Join library volunteers for a free hands-on activity inspired by Black feminist manifestos.
This weekly drop-in activity is presented in partnership with the National Women's History Museum.
In this hands-on button making activity, you can reflect on the manifestos shared by Black feminist activists and theorists in the We Who Believe in Freedom: Black Feminist DC exhibition on the first floor. You can then create your own example of a manifesto that you can then share with your community through words or artwork on a button that you can take with you after your visit.
Look for the National Women's History Museum table in the West Side of the Great Hall!
